Web Design Company in Jeddah: 2026 Buyer’s Guide and Prices

A good web design company in Jeddah in 2026 builds Arabic-first, mobile-first websites, sets up local SEO and your Google Business Profile for Jeddah searches, integrates Saudi payments such as mada and Apple Pay, and handles personal data in line with Saudi Arabia’s PDPL. Saudi pricing guides published in 2026 put typical market ranges at about SAR 2,000 to 8,000 for a basic company website and SAR 6,000 to 15,000 for a professional one. Choose on portfolio, process, ownership terms and support, not on the lowest quote.

This buyer’s guide is written for businesses in Jeddah and the Western Region, from Makkah and Madinah to Taif and Yanbu. It does not rank or name companies. It explains what to require, what to ask, what websites typically cost and which warning signs to avoid.

What Jeddah and Western Region businesses need from a website#

Jeddah is a large and very international market. The 2022 census counted 3,712,917 residents in Jeddah, according to the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) as listed by CityPopulation. Makkah Province, which includes Jeddah, held 11,062 e-commerce commercial registrations at the end of 2025, second only to Riyadh Province, according to Ministry of Commerce figures reported by Mubasher. And GASTAT counted 15,222,497 Umrah performers in the first quarter of 2025 alone, 6,523,630 of them from abroad, many of whom travel through the region.

Arabic-first, with the languages your customers use#

Arabic should be the primary design, not a translated afterthought: right-to-left layouts, Arabic typography and copy written natively. Hotels, travel, transport, retail and food businesses that serve visitors usually need English too, and sometimes further languages for their key markets.

Mobile-first speed#

DataReportal’s Digital 2026 report for Saudi Arabia counted 34.4 million internet users at the end of 2025, a 99.0% penetration rate, and 48.7 million cellular mobile connections. Design and test every page on a phone first.

Local SEO and Google Business Profile#

Google says local results are mainly based on relevance, distance and prominence, and that businesses with complete and accurate information are more likely to appear. Your website should support your Business Profile with consistent name, address and phone details, Jeddah location or district pages in Arabic and English, and fast mobile pages. Our SEO services in Jeddah page covers this in depth.

Saudi payments#

The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) reported that electronic payments made up 85% of retail payments in 2025. Any site that sells or takes bookings should support mada, Visa and Mastercard, Apple Pay (which accepts eligible mada cards, according to mada) and, where it fits, buy-now-pay-later through Tamara or Tabby, both licensed by SAMA in 2025.

PDPL compliance#

The Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) is Saudi Arabia’s data protection law, fully enforced since 14 September 2024 with SDAIA as regulator, according to law firm CMS. For a website it means a clear privacy notice, consent for direct marketing, secure handling of form data, notifying the regulator of harmful breaches within 72 hours, and care with transfers outside the Kingdom, which Article 29 restricts. Fines can reach SAR 5 million. In-Kingdom hosting is available, for example from Oracle, which opened a cloud region in Jeddah in February 2020, as CIO reported.

Selection criteria for a web design company in Jeddah#

  • Live Arabic portfolio: working bilingual sites you can open on your phone, not only mock-ups.
  • A defined process: discovery, sitemap, wireframes, design, build, testing, launch and handover.
  • The right technology: WordPress for content sites, WooCommerce or Shopify for stores, Laravel or React/Next.js for custom applications, chosen for your needs rather than the provider’s habit.
  • SEO built in: bilingual URLs, hreflang, schema markup, speed and Search Console set-up from day one.
  • Clear ownership: domain, hosting, code, analytics and Business Profile in your company’s name.
  • Support after launch: updates, backups, security and a named contact with agreed response times.

Questions to ask before you sign#

  1. Can you show three live Arabic or bilingual sites similar to ours, and who wrote the Arabic copy?
  2. Who owns the domain, hosting account, code and design files at the end of the project?
  3. Which platform do you recommend for us, and why not the alternatives?
  4. How will you set up local SEO for Jeddah, including our Google Business Profile?
  5. Which payment gateway will you integrate, and will mada and Apple Pay be tested before launch?
  6. Where will the site and its form data be hosted, and how do you handle PDPL requirements?
  7. What exactly is included in the price, and what counts as a change request?
  8. What does support cost after launch, and how fast do you respond to an outage?

How much does web design cost in Jeddah?#

There is no published Jeddah-only price index; providers across the Kingdom quote Jeddah projects in the same ranges. These are typical Saudi market ranges from two pricing guides published in April 2026, not quotes:

Project typeDevbricks (Apr 2026), SARAl Badr Systems (Apr 2026), SAR
Basic company website2,000 to 6,0003,000 to 8,000
Professional business website6,000 to 15,000Up to 15,000 or more
E-commerce website10,000 to 40,0007,000 to 25,000 or more
Custom web application or platform40,000 to 150,000+From about 80,000
Hosting (yearly)Not stated500 to 5,000
Maintenance contract (yearly)Not stated2,000 to 15,000

Price rises with the number of pages and languages, custom design rather than a theme, integrations such as ERP, booking or payments, and the amount of content the provider writes for you.

Red flags to watch for#

  • The domain or hosting will be registered in the provider’s name.
  • A quote far below the market ranges above with no written scope.
  • Guaranteed first-page or first-place Google rankings; no one controls Google’s results.
  • Arabic that reads like machine translation, or a portfolio with no Arabic sites.
  • Advice to add keywords such as “best web design Jeddah” to your Business Profile name; Google’s guidelines say the name must match your real-world name and that unnecessary information can lead to suspension.
  • A “virtual office” address for your Business Profile; Google says such locations are not eligible unless staffed during business hours.
  • No privacy policy, cookie or consent plan, or no answer on where data is stored.
  • No handover of admin access, or support only “when available”.

Provider types compared#

A simple process to shortlist the best web design company in Jeddah for you#

  1. Write a one-page brief: goals, languages, pages, features, budget range and launch date.
  2. Shortlist three to five providers whose live work matches your type of project.
  3. Send the same brief to each and ask the questions above in writing.
  4. Compare proposals on scope, ownership, timeline and support, not only price.
  5. Check references and open their recent sites on a phone before you decide.

FAQ#

How much does a website cost in Jeddah?

No Jeddah-only price index exists, but Saudi pricing guides published in April 2026 give typical market ranges of about SAR 2,000 to 8,000 for a basic company website, SAR 6,000 to 15,000 for a professional business site, SAR 7,000 to 40,000 for an online store and from about SAR 40,000 for a custom web application. Hosting, maintenance and SEO are extra yearly costs.

How do I choose the best web design company in Jeddah?

Judge companies by evidence, not claims. Review live Arabic and bilingual sites they built, ask for a written scope with ownership terms, check how they handle local SEO, Saudi payments and PDPL, and compare at least three proposals on the same brief. The best company for you is the one whose process, portfolio and support fit your project and budget.

Does a web design company need to be based in Jeddah?

No. Many Jeddah businesses work with providers in Riyadh, other GCC cities or abroad. What matters is native Arabic, working hours that overlap with yours, clear contracts and reliable support. A local team helps with photography and in-person workshops; a remote team can deliver the same website if communication is structured through regular video calls, shared documents and WhatsApp.

How long does it take to build a website for a Jeddah business?

A company website typically takes several weeks from discovery to launch, and an online store or bilingual site with integrations takes longer because of payments, shipping and content in two languages. The biggest delays usually come from late content and slow approvals, so agree on a timeline with clear milestones and named decision-makers before work starts.

What does PDPL mean for my website in Saudi Arabia?

Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law has been enforced since 14 September 2024, with SDAIA as regulator. For a website it means a clear privacy notice, consent before direct marketing, secure handling of form and customer data, care with transfers outside the Kingdom, and breach notification to the regulator within 72 hours. Fines can reach SAR 5 million, according to CMS.

Will my new website appear in Google Maps for Jeddah searches?

Your Google Business Profile, not your website alone, decides whether you appear in Google Maps. Google says local results are mainly based on relevance, distance and prominence, so verify your profile, use your real business name, keep hours and photos current, and link it to a website with matching Arabic and English location pages for Jeddah.
